Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi pemanfaatan presuposisi dalam pidato virtual Presiden Jokowi di Sidang Umum PBB ke-76 dalam merepresentasikan berbagai peristiwa sosial. Data dalam penelitian ini terdiri atas kalimat-kalimat hasil transkripsi pidato Presiden Jokowi yang bersumber dari situs resmi Sekretariat Kabinet Republik Indonesia (www.setkab.go.id). Dengan menggunakan konsep presuposisi Yule, data tersebut kemudian diklasifikasi ke dalam enam jenis dan dianalisis dengan pendekatan kritis untuk mengetahui representasi setiap peristiwa sosial di dalamnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat lima jenis presuposisi yang digunakan oleh Presiden Jokowi dalam pidatonya, yakni presuposisi struktural, eksistensial, leksikal, faktif, dan kounterfaktual. Presuposisi-presuposisi ini dimanfaatkan oleh Presiden Jokowi untuk menyoroti empat isu utama global, yaitu pandemi covid-19, pemulihan dan inklusivitas ekonomi, ancaman perubahan iklim, dan terorisme serta perang. Presuposisi-presuposisi ini juga dimanfaatkan oleh Presiden Jokowi untuk menegaskan komitmen Indonesia untuk terus berpartisipasi dalam setiap usaha menyelesaikan permasalahan-permasalahan tersebut.
